Arsenal Reach Semi-Finals as Club Moves to Secure Arteta’s Future

Arsenal FC have secured qualification for the semi-finals of a major competition, boosting confidence at the club as efforts intensify to extend the contract of manager Mikel Arteta.

Reacting to the team’s progress, Arteta expressed satisfaction with the squad’s performance and focus.
“We are happy to be in the semi-finals, but we are not done yet. The objective is to go all the way and compete for the title,” he said. “The players have shown great character and belief.”

Off the pitch, the club is preparing to open talks over a new deal for the Spanish tactician. According to Fabrizio Romano, the decision to offer Arteta a contract extension was made in March, regardless of how the current season ends.

Romano wrote on X:
“Arsenal are planning to offer Mikel Arteta a new contract in the summer. Plan already decided in March regardless of end of the season results. Arteta wants to focus on titles now but is in love with the Arsenal project and looking forward to talks. Deal on soon.”

Sources within the club say the hierarchy remain fully convinced by Arteta’s leadership and the long-term project he has built since taking over in 2019.

A senior club official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said:
“We believe in the direction the manager is taking this team. The progress is clear, and continuity is very important for what we are building.”

Arteta also reaffirmed his commitment to the club’s vision amid growing speculation about his future.
“I’m fully focused on finishing the season strongly,”
“This club means a lot to me, and what we are building here is very special.”he said.

Talks between both parties are expected to begin in the coming months, with stability seen as a key priority for Arsenal as they continue their push for silverware.
