Veteran Nigerian actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has reportedly been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, according to a public appeal by his daughter, Kira Taiwo.
Kira revealed that the actor had been planning to travel to India for treatment. However, although his Indian visa was approved, doctors reportedly determined that he is currently too medically fragile to travel by air.
In an emotional appeal shared on social media, Kira said the family is not seeking financial donations, but is asking for help from anyone with medical knowledge, expertise, or connections that could assist in finding suitable treatment for her father.
“We are not looking for money. We need help from whoever has treatment, medically or traditionally.”
She appealed to medical professionals and others who may have information about possible treatment options to come forward and assist the veteran actor.
The family is reportedly exploring every possible avenue to ensure Ogogo receives the treatment and care he urgently needs.
