APC Sets August 31 for Fresh Membership Registration Ahead of 2027

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has fixed Monday, August 31, 2026, for the commencement of a fresh nationwide electronic membership registration exercise ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

The party, in a statement issued on Tuesday by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said the exercise would be conducted across all wards nationwide.

The APC called on party stakeholders, supporters and members, both old and new, to participate in the exercise.

“Existing members are expected to validate their membership, while new and intending members are encouraged to register and join the progressive family,” Morka said.

According to the party, registrants must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN).

Morka said the exercise was designed to “digitise the Party’s membership register” and ensure the integrity of its membership records.

He added that the electronic registration would “enhance efficient access to membership data for planning and management decisions” and promote greater efficiency within the party.

The APC further said the initiative would promote internal democracy and strengthen its commitment to democratic innovation in Nigeria.

“The E-Registration Exercise is designed to digitise the Party’s membership register, ensure the integrity of membership records, enhance efficient access to membership data for planning and management decisions, promote internal democracy, and strengthen the Party’s commitment to democratic innovation in Nigeria,” Morka said.

The party urged members and supporters across the country to participate in the exercise when it commences on August 31.
