Kano State lost two serving members of the State House of Assembly following their sudden deaths, an unfortunate development that has thrown the state into mourning.
The deceased lawmakers are Sarki Aliyu Daneji, who represented Kano Municipal Local Government Area, and Aminu Sa’adu, the representative of Ungoggo Local Government Area. Both legislators were known for their active participation in Assembly proceedings, and their deaths occurred within a short interval, shocking colleagues and residents alike.
The passing of Sarki Aliyu Daneji was confirmed by Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, spokesperson to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, through a post on his official Facebook page. The near-simultaneous loss of the two lawmakers has been described as a rare and painful moment in the state’s legislative history.
