The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has declared that Rivers State will deliver massive electoral support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections, vowing that the state will not repeat what he described as past political mistakes.
Wike, a former governor of Rivers State, made the statement while addressing supporters and political stakeholders, stressing that the people of the state have learned important lessons from previous elections and are now determined to align with what he called progressive and inclusive leadership at the national level.
“Rivers State will vote massively for President Bola Tinubu in 2027, we have seen the consequences of certain decisions we made in the past, and we will not make those mistakes again. This time, we will stand firmly with a leader who believes in governance, development and national unity.”Wike sad.
The outspoken minister argued that President Tinubu’s administration has demonstrated commitment to infrastructural development and economic reforms, adding that such policies deserve continuity beyond the current tenure.
According to Wike, Rivers State remains a strategic political force in the South-South and will play a decisive role in shaping the outcome of the next presidential election. He urged party members and supporters to begin early mobilization at the grassroots level.
“We must organize ourselves from the ward level up to the state,”
“Politics is about structure, loyalty and results. Rivers people are ready to show that they are part of the national project under President Tinubu.”He said.
Wike also emphasized the need for unity among political stakeholders in the state, warning that internal divisions could weaken their influence ahead of 2027.
