Tinubu Orders Security Chiefs to Hunt Down Kasuwan Daji Attackers

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed Nigeria’s top security officials to immediately hunt down the terrorists responsible for the deadly attack in Kasuwan Daji, Niger State, and ensure they are brought to justice.

The incident occurred in a community in Niger State, where bandits reportedly killed no fewer than 42 persons, including women and children, while several others were abducted.

In a statement posted on his official X handle on Sunday, the President said he had instructed the Minister of Defence, the Chief of Defence Staff, the Service Chiefs, the Inspector-General of Police, and the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS) to take decisive action against the perpetrators.

“These terrorists have tested the resolve of our country and its people. They must face the full consequences of their criminal actions,” Tinubu said.

He warned that no individual involved in the attack would be spared, stressing that anyone who aids, abets, or enables terrorism would also be brought to justice.

The President further ordered the immediate rescue of all abducted victims and directed security agencies to intensify operations around vulnerable communities, particularly those close to forest areas.

“These times demand our humanity. We must stand together as one people and confront these monsters in unison,” he said, adding that Nigeria must deny terrorists any form of sanctuary.

President Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to restoring peace in the affected communities and extended condolences to families of the victims.
