Actress Beverly Afaglo died in the early hours of Sunday at the International Maritime Hospital in Tema, according to her manager, Abu Iddris.
In an audio recording circulating online, Abu confirmed the heartbreaking news while addressing rumours surrounding the actress’s passing.
He revealed that Beverly had been secretly battling cancer for the past two years and decided to keep her condition away from the public while undergoing treatment.
According to him, the actress travelled to the United States for medical attention and was advised to remain there until she fully recovered. However, she later returned to Ghana to personally care for her children.
Abu Iddris further disclosed that the illness was hereditary, explaining that it initially started as breast cancer before spreading to other parts of her body.
He also praised the late actress for her resilience, professionalism, and dedication, noting that she continued working despite her health challenges.
Sadly, Beverly would have celebrated her 43rd birthday on May 28, 2026, but passed away just days before.
