The All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, over the commissioning of the new Court of Appeal Complex and residential quarters for judicial officers in Abuja.
In a statement issued on Thursday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC described the projects as a demonstration of the Tinubu administration’s commitment to strengthening the judiciary and deepening democratic governance.
The party applauded the completion of the state-of-the-art Court of Appeal Complex, the 20-unit residential quarters for Court of Appeal Justices and Federal High Court Judges, as well as the planned commissioning of another 20-unit housing estate for FCT High Court Judges.
The APC also welcomed the groundbreaking for residential quarters for Judges of the National Industrial Court and the Code of Conduct Tribunal, which are expected to be completed by January 2027.
According to the party, the projects underscore the administration’s resolve to improve justice delivery through sustained investment in judicial infrastructure.
“The delivery of these critical and massive judicial infrastructure projects reflects President Tinubu’s iron-clad commitment to strengthening democratic institutions, promoting the rule of law, upholding the independence of the judiciary, and guaranteeing the dignity and welfare of judicial officers,” the statement said.
The ruling party noted that modern court facilities and decent accommodation for judges would improve judicial efficiency and strengthen public confidence in the nation’s justice system.
“The provision of world-class court facilities and quality accommodation for judicial officers represents a strategic investment in the administration of justice and consolidation of democratic governance,” the APC stated.
The party also praised the FCT Minister for what it described as his commitment to delivering key infrastructure projects within schedule.
“We extend our profound commendation to Hon. Minister Wike for his unalloyed commitment, leadership, effective and timely execution of these projects in realization of President Tinubu’s broader vision of institutional reform, infrastructure development, and national progress,” the statement added.
The APC further said the investment in judicial infrastructure, coming as President Tinubu marks his third year in office, reaffirms the administration’s commitment to effective justice delivery, respect for the rule of law, and the consolidation of Nigeria’s democratic institutions.
