Nigeria’s ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), has announced the resumption of its electronic membership registration exercise across the country.
In a press statement issued in Abuja, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said the exercise would be conducted in all wards and designated centres nationwide.
“As the electronic membership registration exercise resumes in all wards and designated locations nationwide, we urge existing members to validate their membership while new members are encouraged to register and join the progressive family,” Morka said.
He noted that only individuals aged 18 years and above with a valid National Identification Number (NIN) are eligible to participate.
“Registrants must be 18 years or older and must possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN),” he stated.
Morka explained that the initiative is part of the party’s broader effort to modernize its internal systems and strengthen its structure.
“The e-registration exercise is designed to digitize the Party’s membership register, ensure the integrity of records, enhance efficient access to membership data for planning and management decisions, promote internal democracy, and strengthen the Party’s commitment to democratic innovation in Nigeria,” he added.
The APC said the move underscores its commitment to improving administrative efficiency and preparing the party for future political activities.
