Nigerian rappers Blaqbonez and Odumodublvck reportedly fell out after Blaqbonez discovered that a woman he had been intimate with was also dating Odumodublvck, with the situation eventually turning into a heated exchange between the two artistes.
In an interview circulating on social media, Blaqbonez opened up about the events that led to the fallout, revealing that he was in what he described as a “friends with benefits” relationship with the woman without knowing she was dating Odumodublvck.
“I was in a ‘friends with benefits’ relationship with the same girl he was dating but I didn’t know,” Blaqbonez said.
According to him, he only discovered the relationship after the woman told him she could no longer continue their friendship.
Curious about the reason behind her decision, the rapper said he asked her directly, “Who are you dating?” and was surprised to learn that she was with Odumodublvck.
Blaqbonez said he immediately decided to respect their relationship and stay away from the situation.
“You guys won’t hear from me again. I will respect everything that you guys have. Peace,” he recalled telling the woman.
However, the rapper said the matter escalated when Odumodublvck contacted him and asked whether he had been intimate with the woman.
Blaqbonez said he refused to discuss details of his relationship with her because he did not want to interfere with their relationship.
“I don’t know what she told you, so I can’t answer this question and affect anything that you guys have,” he said he told Odumodublvck.
According to Blaqbonez, Odumodublvck then responded: “Then we are enemies since you are not telling me. Peace out, bro.”
Blaqbonez clarified that he and the woman were never officially dating.
“I can’t say we were dating or anything. It wasn’t official,” he said, explaining that “friends with benefits” best described their relationship because they were friends who were also intimate.
He said he later asked Odumodublvck when his relationship with the woman began, believing the issue could have been avoided if she had ended their arrangement before dating the rapper.
Blaqbonez claimed Odumodublvck did not tell him when the relationship started, leaving the disagreement between the two artistes unresolved.
