Burna Boy Faces Heat as U.S. Tour Falters; Fans Demand Public Apology

Burna Boy’s No Sign of Weakness tour in the United States is facing growing criticism after a chain of controversies, disappointing attendance figures, and cancelled dates cast a shadow over what was expected to be one of the Afrobeats star’s biggest international runs.

The backlash was ignited on November 12 at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, where the Grammy winner abruptly stopped his set to call out a woman in the front row who appeared to be sleeping. He asked security to escort her out before resuming the performance.

The moment quickly spread across social media, with many viewers condemning the act as insensitive. The fan, later identified as Chaltu Jateny, shared that she had come to the concert seeking relief from emotional turmoil after the death of her daughter’s father. “I have been mentally, physically, and emotionally drained… I came to his show to put a smile on my face,” she wrote on X.
