President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has commended the Federal Government for its ongoing economic reforms, saying the measures are beginning to produce tangible results and create a stronger foundation for sustainable economic growth.
Dangote said the reforms had contributed to improved economic activity, stronger investor confidence, increased industrial productivity and a more resilient operating environment for businesses across the country.
He said the emerging improvements demonstrated that the government’s policy direction was beginning to have a positive impact on the productive sector, particularly businesses involved in large-scale manufacturing and industrial activities.
“The economic reforms being implemented by the federal government are beginning to yield tangible results. We are witnessing improved economic activity, stronger investor confidence, increased industrial productivity, and a more resilient business environment,” Dangote said.
“These measures are laying a solid foundation for sustainable economic growth and long-term prosperity for Nigeria.”
The business leader said the reforms had helped create a more enabling operating environment for businesses, noting that a stable and supportive environment was essential for expanding productive capacity and strengthening the country’s economic competitiveness.
According to him, large-scale manufacturing and industrial enterprises remain critical to Nigeria’s efforts to diversify the economy, create employment opportunities, generate foreign exchange and reduce dependence on imports.
He stressed that sustained industrial development would also be important to strengthening domestic production and improving Nigeria’s capacity to compete in the global economy.
Dangote further explained that government initiatives focused on improving efficiency, promoting investment, enhancing transparency and supporting domestic production were already providing a framework for industrial expansion.
He said policies that encourage investment and strengthen domestic productive capacity could help unlock greater opportunities for businesses while contributing to broader economic development.
The industrialist noted that improved investor confidence was particularly important to Nigeria’s economic outlook, as increased confidence could encourage new investments, expansion of existing businesses and greater participation by both domestic and international investors.
He also highlighted the importance of government-business collaboration in sustaining the gains associated with the reform process, stressing that a supportive policy environment would enable businesses to plan for the long term, expand operations and contribute more effectively to national development.
Dangote said the progress being recorded should be sustained through consistent implementation of reforms and measures that further strengthen the operating environment for businesses.
He commended the Federal Government for demonstrating what he described as courage and determination in pursuing reforms considered necessary to reposition the Nigerian economy.
“We commend the federal government for its courage and determination in implementing reforms that are essential for economic transformation,” he stated.
The comments come amid ongoing efforts by the Federal Government to implement policies aimed at strengthening macroeconomic stability, encouraging investment, boosting domestic production and improving the overall business environment.
For Dangote, sustaining the reform momentum would be crucial to translating emerging improvements into broader and more durable economic gains, particularly through increased industrial production, job creation and investment.
