Nollywood actor Daniel Effiong has said that attraction and love are not the same, noting that a person can feel attracted to someone without necessarily being in love with them.
Effiong, celebrated for his dynamic roles in both film and television, opened up on Mansplanation Podcast about his approach to marriage and attraction.
During the interview he said, “What I have with my wife is a working relationship. It’s a partnership, it’s a business, enterprise that is founded on love. We decided that we are going to build this family.”
Effiong explained that for him, marriage is more than just romance. It’s a deliberate partnership that requires communication, commitment, and mutual respect.
He emphasized that both partners must actively work on the relationship to ensure it thrives, treating it almost like a shared enterprise where love is the foundation.
On being attracted to others, he added, “Do I get attracted to people? Yes I can get attracted to you and not necessarily be in love with the person. It’s a two different thing. Cause there is being in love and loving someone.”
