The family of late Nollywood actor Mr Ibu (John Okafor) has continued to face public attention following disagreements over donations received during his illness and the management of his estate.
Amid the ongoing family dispute, social media has been awash with conflicting claims from different parties.
A woman identified as Mr Ibu’s first wife has publicly criticized the actor’s widow, alleging that she presented herself as Mr Ibu’s only wife and portrayed her children as his only children. She also claimed that the late actor had other children and expressed the view that the widow would eventually face the consequences of her actions.
Separately, some members of the family have alleged that the widow sold some of Mr Ibu’s properties and kept the proceeds. Those allegations have been circulated publicly, but they have not been independently verified, and no court has ruled on them.
Meanwhile, businessman and philanthropist Williams Uchemba was widely commended after reports indicated that he paid the outstanding fees required for one of Mr Ibu’s sons to collect his WAEC certificate.
