First Lady Joins APC Women Mobilisation, Campaign in Abuja

First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Monday joined leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the party’s Women Stakeholders Mobilisation and Empowerment Campaign Roll Out in Abuja.

The event, held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, brought together women stakeholders, female aspirants and members of the 2027 APC Presidential Campaign Council Women Mobilisation Directorate.

The First Lady was joined by the wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima; Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Committee, Senator Abdulaziz Yari; Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma; former APC National Chairman, Umar Abdullahi Ganduje; and other party leaders.

A major highlight of the programme was the empowerment of women beneficiaries with various support items to strengthen their livelihoods.

Senator Oluremi Tinubu presented some of the empowerment items, including a motorbike to one of the beneficiaries.

The empowerment initiative was presented as part of efforts to support women economically and encourage greater participation in political and community activities.

The First Lady also held a closed-door meeting with female APC aspirants and other dignitaries on the sidelines of the event.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the party’s female stakeholders and aspirants to engage on issues surrounding women’s participation and mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The programme forms part of the APC’s broader mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 elections, with women expected to play a key role in strengthening the party’s grassroots support and campaign activities.
