FWMRH Urges Massive Support for James Faleke in APC Primaries

A political support group, the Faleke Women Movement for Renewed Hope (FWMRH), has called on delegates, party members, youths, women, and residents of Ikeja Federal Constituency to massively support the candidature of James Abiodun Faleke ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives direct primaries scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026.

In a statement issued on Friday and signed by the group’s National Chairperson, Zainab Yusuf Ogundana, the movement described Faleke as “one of the most visible, accessible, experienced, and people-oriented lawmakers in Nigeria’s democratic history.”

According to the statement, Faleke’s track record in grassroots development, youth empowerment, women inclusion, and constituency projects makes him the most qualified candidate to fly the APC flag for the Ikeja Federal Constituency seat.

“At a time when effective representation, legislative competence, loyalty to party ideals, and strategic leadership are critically needed, Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke remains the most qualified, tested, and dependable candidate for the task ahead,” the statement said.

The group noted that the lawmaker had consistently demonstrated commitment to human capital development, educational support initiatives, community development, and party reconciliation.

“His antecedents speak louder than political slogans,” the statement added. “Over the years, Rt. Hon. Faleke has demonstrated uncommon commitment to human capital development, educational support initiatives, youth and women empowerment programmes, constituency intervention projects, community development, party growth and reconciliation, as well as progressive politics and democratic stability.”

FWMRH further praised the lawmaker for what it described as his compassion, humility, accessibility, and connection with ordinary Nigerians.

“Beyond politics, Rt. Hon. Faleke has continually shown compassion, humility, accessibility, and a deep connection with ordinary Nigerians qualities that have endeared him to party members and constituents alike,” the group stated.

The movement stressed that continuity in quality representation was necessary to sustain developmental gains already recorded in Ikeja Federal Constituency.

“We firmly believe that continuity in quality representation is critical for sustaining the developmental gains already witnessed within the constituency,” the statement read.

The group therefore urged APC members and delegates to reject divisive politics and support Faleke’s re-election bid during the primaries.

“This primary election is not merely about selecting a candidate; it is about preserving effective representation, sustaining progressive leadership, and strengthening the Renewed Hope vision for a greater Nigeria,” FWMRH said.

The group also expressed confidence that voters in the constituency would once again support Faleke based on his record of service and commitment to the people.

“We are confident that the people of Ikeja Federal Constituency will once again make the right choice by standing firmly with a leader who has consistently stood with them,” the statement added.
