Hazon Flux Media has taken its advocacy for youth development to the grassroots with a community outreach programme themed Girl Talk, where dozens of young girls were equipped with practical knowledge on self-worth, confidence, and the power of their voice.
The impactful session featured interactive teachings from team members, known as coaches, who addressed the girls on issues critical to their personal growth and future success.
The programme began with Coach Racheal, who laid the foundation by helping the girls understand the concept of value.
She defined value as “the worth or importance of someone or something,” urging participants to see themselves as important and deserving of respect.
“You are valuable not because of what people say about you, but because of who you are,” she said.
“When you understand your worth, you won’t settle for less or allow anyone to treat you poorly.”
She further encouraged the girls to build a strong sense of self-worth that would guide their decisions and relationships.
Next, Coach Patience took the stage with a powerful session on finding and using one’s voice. She emphasized the importance of speaking up, setting boundaries, and refusing to be silenced in situations that matter.
“Your voice is powerful, and it deserves to be heard,” she told the girls.
“Don’t be afraid to speak up for yourself and for others who cannot speak. When you stay silent, you give others permission to overlook you.”
She also shared practical steps on how to develop confidence in communication, including practicing self-expression, standing firm on personal values, and learning to say no when necessary.
The final session was delivered by Coach Esther, who focused on building a confident mindset. She highlighted the role of self-awareness and self-esteem in shaping a successful future.
“Confidence starts from knowing yourself and believing in your abilities,” she said.
“If you don’t see yourself as capable, it will be difficult for others to see it too.”
She encouraged the girls to invest in personal growth, challenge negative thoughts, and surround themselves with positive influences that would strengthen their confidence.
The outreach programme created a safe and engaging space for the girls to learn, ask questions, and reflect on their personal journeys. Through relatable teachings and real-life examples, the coaches inspired the participants to see themselves as strong, capable, and full of potential.
Hazon Flux Media noted that the Girl Talk initiative is part of its ongoing commitment to empowering young girls with the right mindset and tools needed to navigate life, make informed decisions, and become confident leaders in their communities.
