A 24-year-old Nigerian man, Gift Oladele, has denied allegations that he raped a 19-year-old woman who claimed he dragged her from a main road into nearby woods and sexally assaulted her in the United Kingdom.
Oladele, who was described in court as running a cleaning business in Manchester but having no fixed address, is facing two counts of rape and one count of sexual assault . He pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
During proceedings at Mold Crown Court, prosecutor James Coutts told the jury that the teenager said the alleged incident happened after a night out in Wrexham, leaving her terrified.
According to the prosecution, Oladele allegedly covered her mouth with his hand and forced her along a path leading into nearby woods where the alleged a§§ault took place.
“I’m frozen. I felt like I couldn’t move because I knew what was coming,” the woman told the court.
The jury also heard the woman claim she was struck several times and that her jeans were ripped off during the incident.
Oladele, however, denied the accusations in court, telling the jury, “It’s a lie.”
