The General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry (OPM) has temporarily suspended plans to give out his autistic adopted daughter in marriage following an overwhelming response from more than 1,000 interested suitors.
The pastor, who had earlier taken to his social media page to announce his intention, returned online to disclose the latest development, citing the need for proper screening of applicants.
In his post, he wrote: “Due to the high number of applications from over 1,000 suitors, I have decided to suspend the process for now so we can carefully review and select the right person.”
The initial announcement had sparked widespread attention and reactions across social media, drawing both support and criticism. While some commended the pastor’s commitment to securing a future for his daughter, others questioned the public approach to such a sensitive matter.
Sources within the ministry say the suspension will allow for a more thorough and deliberate selection process to ensure the best outcome
