Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has ignited conversations on social media after sharing a thought-provoking post centred on infidelity, trust, and marriage.
The actress took to her Instagram page to present a detailed hypothetical scenario involving a married man secretly involved in an affair with another married woman, while deceiving his wife by claiming the relationship was purely platonic.
In the post, Ovire described a situation where the alleged side partner was deeply embedded in the couple’s lives, writing: “This married sidechick even attended your wedding and you had no problem with it because you thought they were just friends.”
She further explained that the truth eventually comes to light, revealing secret meetings in hotels and private apartments, adding that the man still professes emotional attachment to the other woman despite being married. According to her, “Now you have evidence of both of them meeting up in hotels doing stuff and your so-called husband telling her how much he misses her while he is still married to you.”
Ovire’s post also highlighted what she described as hypocrisy, noting that the same man condemns single women involved with married men while secretly maintaining an affair himself.
She continued: “He has been sleeping with the married woman… Yet this same man judges and castigates single girls who sleep with married men.”
The actress further raised concerns about manipulation within marriages, stating that the man allegedly compares his wife to the married woman and even visits her home under the guise of friendship, with both spouses unaware of the affair.
The post concluded with a direct question to her followers, seeking their opinions on how such a situation should be handled. “Would you remain married to such man?” she asked, before adding, “What would you do if you were in her shoes?”
