Tinubu Hails Rescue of Abducted Oyo Pupils

President Bola Tinubu has hailed the rescue of children and teachers abducted by Ansaru terrorists in Oyo State, saying they were freed alive and unharmed without the payment of any ransom.

In a statement on Friday night, the President described the rescue as a major success for Nigeria’s security forces.

“Tonight, our nation has reason to give thanks. The children and teachers abducted by Ansaru terrorists in Oyo State have been rescued by our security forces, alive and unharmed. No ransom was paid. No concession was made,” Tinubu said.

He commended the officers and operatives who carried out the operation, saying, “I salute every officer and operative whose courage, discipline, and professionalism made this possible.”

The President reaffirmed his administration’s determination to defeat terrorism and protect Nigerians from violent attacks.

“To those who seek to spread fear through terror, know that the Nigerian state will pursue you relentlessly,” he said.

“We will protect our people, defend our communities, and never relent until peace and security prevail across our country.”

Tinubu said the successful operation underscores the government’s resolve to confront terrorists without compromising national security, adding that efforts to restore peace across the country will continue.
