A woman claiming to be the ex-girlfriend of Nigerian entertainer Segun Johnson has taken to social media to share details of their alleged breakup, describing the experience as sudden and unexpected.
In a lengthy post, the woman said she had been in a relationship with the entertainer for 13 years, noting that the union experienced “ups and downs” over time. She explained that she later relocated to the United Kingdom, but they rekindled their relationship when Johnson visited.
According to her, the entertainer encouraged her to return to Nigeria, assuring her of his support and insisting they continue their relationship. She claimed she eventually agreed, leaving behind a newly secured job in the UK to move to Lagos, where he received her warmly and gifted her a necklace.
“She told me to relocate back to Nigeria and promised to provide everything I needed. I didn’t want to be a liability, but he insisted and I listened to him,” she said.
She further stated that they celebrated his birthday together on February 14, shortly after her arrival. However, she alleged that things took a turn when he travelled back to the UK weeks later.
The woman claimed that upon his return, she noticed a money-counting machine in his possession. Curious, she said she asked about it and was told it was a gift from a woman.
“I later checked his phone and discovered that the lady who gave him the machine was someone he met in London, and they had been dating for about a year,” she alleged.
She further claimed that Johnson later ended the relationship via a voice note after failing to meet her in person.
“He said he wanted to move on with someone else, that now is the time and he isn’t getting any younger. He wasn’t remorseful,” she added.
The woman also alleged that shortly after the conversation, her belongings were sent back to her through a ride-hailing service.
“Immediately, he sent all my things back to me through Uber. This happened last month,” she said.
As of the time of filing this report, Segun Johnson has not publicly responded to the allegations.
