The General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, has sparked widespread reactions after announcing plans to find a husband for one of his adopted daughters living with autism.
The cleric made the disclosure in a post shared on his official social media platforms, where he openly called for a suitable suitor for the 21-year-old woman, identified as Chiemeka Chibuzor.
The announcement comes just weeks after the pastor reportedly facilitated the marriage of one of his adopted sons, who is also autistic, drawing public attention to his continued support for individuals living with special needs.
In the social media post, the pastor described the young woman as someone who “can talk and hear well,” while outlining specific conditions for any interested suitor. According to him, the prospective husband must be a young man, “not old and not disabled in any form.”
He also listed several incentives attached to the marriage arrangement, including a lifetime salary, a free house to be jointly owned by the couple, and regular supervision visits by church staff to ensure her well-being.
“Am giving out another of my adopted daughter for marriage… The man that must marry her must be a young man… Life time salary, no foreign vacation. Free house forever… and many other hidden benefits,” the pastor wrote.
The development has since generated mixed reactions on social media, with some praising the gesture as a form of care and support for vulnerable individuals, while others raised concerns about the conditions and approach used in the arrangement.
As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official response from relevant social welfare authorities regarding the pastor’s announcement.
