Tinubu congratulates Muslims on Eid-el-Fitr,

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm greetings to Muslims in Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, urging citizens to embrace patriotism and national unity.

In a statement releasedby his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President congratulated the Muslim faithful on successfully completing the holy month of Ramadan, describing it as a period of deep spiritual reflection and self-discipline.

Tinubu called on Muslims to sustain the values imbibed during Ramadan, noting that the lessons of piety, empathy, and unity are crucial for national development.

“We have a lot to draw from the noble lessons of Ramadan, especially at a time like this. We must continue to abide by the virtues of piety, selflessness, perseverance, kindness and compassion beyond this period,” the President said.

He further urged Muslims to extend acts of generosity to the less privileged, regardless of religious differences, as a demonstration of unity and shared humanity.

The President also appealed to religious leaders to use the Eid celebration as an opportunity to pray for lasting peace and prosperity in the country.

Eid-el-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, a month-long period of fasting, prayer, and charity observed by Muslims worldwide.
