President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Peter Mbah on the occasion of his birthday, praising his leadership and developmental strides in Enugu State.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President commended the governor for the progress recorded in the state over the past two years.
Tinubu described Mbah, a lawyer and philanthropist, as a committed leader whose administration has pursued progressive governance and constitutional democracy through transformational projects and programmes.
The President noted that before entering politics, Mbah had built a successful career in the oil and gas sector in the private sector before being elected governor of Enugu State in 2023.
Reflecting on his visit to the state in 2025, Tinubu said he personally witnessed the impact of the governor’s leadership.
“During my official visit to Enugu in 2025, I witnessed firsthand what good and competent leadership, as demonstrated by Mbah, can accomplish when anchored on vision and service to the people,” the President said.
Tinubu also commended the governor’s collaborative approach with other leaders in the Southeast, noting that such partnerships were helping reposition the region for economic and political transformation.
“Dr Mbah’s inclusive governance and partnership with other Southeast governors is repositioning the region for economic and political transformation,” he added.
The President wished the Enugu governor good health and renewed strength as he continues to serve the people of the state.
